somewhere on the outskirts of Kyoto or Tokyo. I really liked the house the Maekawas had on the outskirts of Kanazawa as well.

used to be my TMBG Apollo 18 shirt. right now it's probably my hen na gaijin t-shirt. or my baggy tan safari pants. Hm.

oh man. I forget. I bought a whole bunch of J-pop singles off Ebay a few weeks ago.

on a DDR machine, or lying in bed with a good book to read. (the problem with the latter is I usually feel like I should be elsewhere) actually, my favorite "place" is "with friends", but I don't know if that counts.

I don't watch TV. I like quiz shows and game shows. I hate Teletubbies. I used to watch a lot of cartoons and science fiction stuff though.

When I was like 8 years old I was writing games on our Apple //e and I wanted to do something funky with system calls, peeks and pokes, I forget what. My dad went looking through all of his books for the answer to what I was asking him and he couldn't find it, and he even asked people at work the next day about it and finally found the answer for me and they were like "your 8-year-old daughter is writing stuff like that? holy shit." My dad still likes to tell that story to people. Almost as much as the one about the time he threatened to give Aiton an enema if he wouldn't leave our apartment.
13. WHAT MAKES YOU LAUGH?
just about anything, if i'm in the right mood. ("THAT DUMB MOVIE! *GIGGLE* WITH THE BOAT! *LAUGHING HYSTERICALLY* YOU KNOW, THE THREE-HOUR TOUR OF KATE AND LEO AND LOTS OF WATER! HAR! HAHAHAHAHAHA! *loses it*")

wasting time that i can't do anything about. i hate feeling trapped. oh, and i also hate really stupid people.

well, i already can play several. i guess what i'd really like is to play some instruments that fit in a backpack.
16. FAVORITE RESTAURANT/CAFE/EATERY?
Lee's Hoagie House, Jim's Steaks, etc - damn I miss Philly sandwiches. Oh, and I really like the sushi at Sakura, up in Chelmsford. Chaya in Pittsburgh is decent. And of course I must put in a plug for Curry House, the best fast food chain ever.
17. SCARIEST MOMENT OF YOUR LIFE?
In the summer of 1997 I lived on Beeler Street and was TAing for PGSS. One night around 3am I was walking back to 'Schlag from Beeler alone. This guy in a car pulled up behind me and started following me really slowly. I saw the car pull into a driveway and was happy and then it pulled out again and practically came right up to me - there was a freaky-looking guy in the car - so I broke into a run and ran until I reached Schlag. Damn, I was really scared. I think even times when I was wandering around South Philly alone after dark didn't scare me nearly as much as that for some reason.
18. IF THERE WAS A MOVIE MADE ABOUT YOU, WHAT CURRENT\FORMER HOLLYWOOD STAR WOULD PLAY YOU?
Michelle Meyrink maybe (If you don't immediately recognize the name, she was Jordan in Real Genius, Judy in Revenge of the Nerds, etc.). The problem is that most of the female hollywood stars I like aren't anything like me.

Spring because of the weather and my birthday, but it's sad because it's when everyone leaves.

flying! I want to be able to fly all over the place and then I wouldn't be so late for everything.

oh man. i had silly crushes as a kid. my first boyfriend was Eric Zettlemoyer. i was 14. he was 17. a few months after he dumped me I became really close friends with his younger brother, who was 2 weeks older than me. my first "love" would probably be Ben Kutler though, around when i was 16. long story that.
26. THE SONG YOU WISHED YOU HAD WRITTEN?
The Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota, by Weird Al Yankovic. Or some other equally long, drawn out, and entertaining folk song. Definitely not Banned from Argo.

depends on the cat or dog. I like cats better in general, but Eli's family's dog Liza is fantastic.

Tuesday, because I get to play DDR or eat sushi or something. Basically, oddly enough, I like weekdays better than weekends, because I stress out less about planning stuff for them.
