Boring entry about random crap from today
I am, perhaps pathetically, getting in gear to catch up on some doramas. We'll see if I actually have time to watch anything, though. Still, I finally went through and figured out exactly what the hell I have on those drives I brought with me, what shows have finished or been subtitled since then, and what I want to watch. Really, I am most looking forward to finishing off Haken no Hinkaku, which I tried to watch unsubbed and simply couldn't catch all of the business lingo.
There's supposed to be some pretty awesome doramas in this upcoming Winter season as usual, though who knows whether I'll actually get to watch any, as I can really only watch Sunday/Monday/late stuff live, and Galileo didn't really pull me, nor did that Shigeshoshi show about the embalmer kid. Eh. The Getsuku dorama in the Winter season, Bara no nai Hanaya, is actually going to star lots of people I like (Katori Shingo, Takeuchi Yuko, Shaku Yumiko, Matsuda Shota) but is most likely going to be dead boring (it's about a dude working in a flower shop). Though it'd make for an awesome reason to come home Monday nights (dorama at 9, SMAPxSMAP at 10, Ainori at 11) and do laundry or whatever. I keep my TV on a lot when I'm at home just to have Japanese speech in the background, even if it's retarded crap like the KAT-TUN variety show.
Today was my last day of work before our long new years' holiday! It was really super-busy all things considered. I had 5 classes and they were a little underattended but still had plenty of people. In addition, I had to write about 25 New Year's postcards today -- we're sending them to all of our students, and I have like 53 students, and Eri had to address the cards (Duane and I don't have legible enough Japanese handwriting apparently), and she just finished addressing some of them yesterday. I did my Christmas present-clues-hunt with my two Sprint 6X classes though. In the afternoon it went over as "Deanna's being strange but we like chocolate" and in the evening it went over as "Dude that was awesome can we play more games like that please?"
My foot still hurts and my back still hurts. Bleh.
Ironically, to start off my vacation the first thing I will be doing is hanging out with Eri tomorrow, going to Costco, and then going back to Akabane GEOS to clean up some things we didn't finish tonight. And then one way or the other tomorrow I intend to see the movie Smile: Seiya no Kiseki. Whether or not Eri comes with me is another story, although she loves hockey and it's about kids that play hockey and she said she was interested in seeing it. Then Saturday in theory I'll catch up with Tada, and on Monday Carl and Oren get here, and next Friday we go to Kanazawa! Wheeeeeee.
I'm crossing my fingers to wake up either with no foot pain or no back pain tomorrow...
