Stamp to my Eat

Thursday is always my busiest day of the week. Yesterday was no exception. I think I had about 30 minutes of free time all day between noon and 11pm now that it comes down to it.

I got my 30th point card sticker from the Sunmerry's bakery when I bought my lunch there. Yikes. They give you a sticker for every 300 yen worth of food you buy there, and if you fill up a 30-sticker card, you get a 300-yen discount. Not much, I know, but I'd been using it as my mark of "how often am I running late enough to warrant just going into the bakery for 2 minutes to grab a sandwich and pastry for lunch?" I filled it up in 3.5 months, so that should say something, because even with a few stickers I accidentally threw out, I'm obviously having bakery food 2-3 times per week on average.

I've also almost filled up my stamp card at Indifferent Katsudon. That's not really the name of the shop, it's called Katsuya or something, but the staff there always seem either tired or indifferent, probably because they close at midnight and I'm always coming in at 11:30pm. I like their food, but I'd rather go to 24-Hour Cheerful Oyaji Katsudon down by Kawaguchi station when I get the chance. Indifferent Katsudon is 640 yen and Cheerful Katsudon is 430 yen AND they give me miso soup... but they're also 4km away from here or I have to get out of the train, go there, then get on the train again to come home. They also don't have point cards, but do have a vending machine for meal tickets.

I guess there's also 24-Hour Boring Katsudon on the other side of Warabi station, but I haven't felt like going there in a while either. I keep saying that next time I go to the west side of Warabi station, I'm going to go to Coco Ichibanya and get some curry, dammit.

I finally did get in a game of Pop'n'Music last night, though. One and a half games, really, because I failed my second song of the first set due to trying to play while wearing my winter coat without rolling up the sleeves and my arms kept getting tangled up. Whoops. They turn down the lights and start playing Auld Lang Syne in the Kawaguchi arcade REALLY loud at 11:30 and come up to you like "I hope this is your last game, ma'am" so they can herd everyone out by 11:45pm. It's kind of funny.
