...and raining in Yokohama

I went down to Yokohama this afternoon/evening for the Baystars/Tigers game, where I met up with Michael Westbay, the guy who runs japanesebaseball.com. That was pretty interesting. He's even geekier than me, but unlike me, he has the baseball cred to back it up :)

Sadly, there were a lot of really close calls and a few stupid things and a LOT of rain, and then Ohya-kantoku had this brilliant idea to intentionally walk Shinjiro Hiyama, and it all went downhill from there and the Tigers won 9-7. What kind of moron intentionally walks Hiyama?

I meant to check out the Kannai north McDonald's before the game, but couldn't find it and instead got a late lunch from KFC. In retrospect, that was probably the best choice before seeing a Hanshin game. I got home too late to really get food anywhere, and it was raining, and I thought I'd cook some noodles but instead I just ate crackers for dinner. Bleh.

I think I am definitely coming down with a cold though, or at least my throat feels a little yucky, although that might just be the aftereffect of spending half of the weekend outside in the rain yelling at baseball players.

Also, I need to do laundry still. Oops.

Interestingly, it was 4 classes for me in Spanish before I because self study reading and that sort of thing...

I don't know if my goal is to become a Japanese scholar as much as I'd like to learn to be polite and ask "how much?" and "where's the bathroom?" I am sure that there will be interpreters for business and all that.
