Tuesday normal Tuesday

Carl and I went to Shadyside this afternoon. We had crepes and went to スパー東京 (otherwise known as the Tokyo Food Store). I bought a ton of curry, and some various snacks (including pocky). Carl got some melon bread. Apparently it wasn't very good. I was thinking of getting curry bread since they had it, but decided on yogurt candies instead.

Then I came home, and got picked up a little later to go to Sushi Two for AYCE sushi with Kevin, Charlie, and Eli. This was their last week ever for AYCE sushi! So if you go to Sushi Two and try to get AYCE on a Tuesday night from now on, they will laugh at you.

After that I straightened up the apartment a little, and then a bunch of people (ok... a few people... Rebecca, Bayani, Angel, and [profile] alternakittyn) came over and we played a ton of DDR and some PPP. We did all of the songs in Disney's Rave in battle mode Trick. It was fun.

Whee...

I have so fallen off the acronym track...either that or i'm so overloaded by them I can't figure out easy ones any more (I work for PSC, which is also NLANR, we're doing a conference with NIST and NOAA, have a partnership with I2, do a lot of work with IPv6, and feel that i've given you TMI...)

So, what's this about a conference with NIST and NOAA?

Okay, saw this after I commented on your LJ...

Check out this link. It's the particulars on the workshop. Setting up the Joint Techs workshop is mostly what I do at PSC.

This conference, we're talking about doing several plenary sessions on "What's the weather in Boulder?" and other weather-related stuff. Nothing has been official agenda-wise yet, we're still putting together the program. It's in July, so you'll be in Georgia, but who knows, maybe they'd pay to have you come if you're working with/for them.
