Books into Burritos!
Okay, not really, but it's an ongoing joke to me since I went to Half Price in the U-district to sell off some more stuff, and then went to Chipotle again. This time I took in a big box of paperbacks and a few other things and got $23, which technically could have bought me three burritos, but I only got one. Unlike my usual trips, I actually ate the burrito AT Chipotle rather than driving home with it.
(I emptied out four shelves of my bookcase, basically, into two boxes -- keep and sell. I'm gonna try to repeat that again tomorrow with some more books.)
I sold off my Dreamcast stuff and one of my PS1's! Very exciting. I'd posted the Dreamcast to CL and got a few vague "sure, I'll buy it"s and then got one this morning of "gimme a call, I'd like to pick it up tonight, I'll be shopping up in Northgate so you're on my way home!", so I thought that seemed like a good deal. The guy came in to get the stuff and was just staring at my board game cabinet, like "Are those yours?" and I'm like "Yeah," and he said "Are you getting rid of any of those?" and I'm like "Sorry... no... they're staying here..." and he said "Dang. You have good taste in games."
I did laundry and worked on my GEOS homework, and I also assembled a box of VHS tapes to take to Half Price. My logic there is that I really should be replacing my movies with DVDs anyway rather than storing VHS tapes for a few years until they lose even more value. I still feel pretty terrified that I won't be able to get everything done that I need to, though :(
Carl came over for a bit just to say hi, and a bit later
aquatwo came by and bought some of my CDs! Yay. Now I can afford even more burritos!
No, just kidding. Anyway, I'm going to work on my GEOS homework some more. Maybe tomorrow I'll try to actually get some of the shopping done that I need to. Anyone know a place where I could get nice (polishable?) shoes for work that also actually have arch support? I can't get away with wearing sneakers for once.

I got rid of a LOT of books that way. My bookshelves in my new place (if I get it) will likely be less than 50% books. Considering I know I really could get rid of even more using my guiding principles, I'm pretty proud. Again, by selling them back, I get paid a small sum not to move/store/insure them anymore, and somebody else can enjoy them.
