Update, and more lolbaseballs

I'm flying to Pittsburgh tomorrow night (Friday), getting in Saturday 6am, leaving Sunday 6pm, busy Saturday night with my cousin's wedding. You know, the retarded thing is how much is happening in Seattle this weekend that I have to miss -- Race for the Cure, a baby shower, a games party, a housewarming party, the Fremont Solstice Festival, and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting. Crazy. Either way, I'll be crashing at [profile] bhudson's place while I'm in the burgh, and I wouldn't mind hanging out with people if the timing works out...

Wednesday during the day I went for lunch with [profile] georgejas. We started walking towards Soup Daddy but ended up at the crepes place on 2nd. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't what I had in mind by crepes - they were pretty lumpy and big, and the spinach was kinda soggy for a crepe filling. I'm sure it was healthy and all, of course.

There was volleyball that evening and I sort of hurt my left arm -- took a serve the wrong way and it stung like hell and I had a huge bruise forming, like I'd split a vein or something. So I stepped out and ran my arm under cold water in the water fountain for a while, and then kept playing. My arm was sore, but you know, I woke up the next day and it looks fine even if it's still a little sore. Whee.

I stayed up a bit too late both Tuesday and Wednesday nights watching the start of the Rakuten-Chunichi games. I am a bad person but I couldn't resist. It was all worth it when I got to see my Dragonbutt, Masahiko Morino, pull off a sweet leaping double play.

Today after work I gathered up some clothes and took them to Goodwill, since I majorly need to get rid of a whole bunch of my stuff. Does anyone know if KGB or APhiO might actually have a use for years and years of Carnival t-shirts from the mid-1990's? I certainly don't, and some of these I've never even worn -- mostly the ass-ugly bright pink/yellow/teal/etc APhiO shirts, though I also never wore the later KGB booth shirts all that much either, once I'd graduated.

After Goodwill, I stopped by Red Mill to get a burger. Yum yum yum. I also did laundry, and some other random stuff. I should also probably pack for my trip. Hmm.

Okay, and just for kicks and for my Friday foto thing on Marinerds, I decided to take a stab at creating a few more lolbaseball "bat macros" or whatever...

To be fair, I have to admit I'm not entirely sure I "get" the meme, so I think these are pretty funny but I might be totally wrong. Astute observers will recognize the player as former Pirate Rob Mackowiak.

It would appear that you 'get' it, seeing as how these are pretty neat.

KGB was collecting t-shirts, one of each kind they could get their hands on. I do not know the current status. I could post to the bboard if you'd like, but summer means fewer folks reading.
