friday of carnival
let's see. It started out with the expedition to Squirrel Hill where I learned there were no photo shops there anymore. At least I got bagels, which were good.
I went to campus and went to Mobot and ran into a whole ton of people, which was cool, and included Shafeeq, who helped me fix my camera! yay. So after that we went back to Mobot and I took pictures of stuff and was all happy.
Games were going on in the UC thanks to Adam. I ended up playing Tichu with mpa and christina and mark and some other people, usually jenny and sometimes mlahut. At 4pm I decided to go see Pippin, the SNS musical this semester.
It was really freaking awesome. Best SNS show since Godspell (in 1997). No joke -- pretty much for once, EVERYONE in the cast could actually dance and sing and act and whatever. It's been so long since SNS has had a spring carnival show where the worst part was just the sound system (like, I couldn't even hear the words for half of "Magic To Do", but whatever).
I came back to the games party, but the only people left were jcreed, martin, neal, and pete, playing Caylus, so I decided to go try to hunt down other people. Unsuccessful, I played volleyball for about 5 minutes and remembered why I hate playing outdoors. I dragged Trey with me out to the McKnight mad mex, where people were meeting for dinner. We got there about half an hour late, but 2/3 of the group hadn't been seated yet, so it worked out okay. We ended up at a table with eric, christina, mark, bryan, and megan, and we had a lot of mad mex food, and it was good.
Went to mark's house after that for game-playing, where I ended up in a game of Settlers with mark and christina and bryan. Bryan won because I don't think anyone realized he was sitting at 9 VP for so long, but I had a pretty good position if I'd just had another turn or two. Then there was strawberries and chocolate, and eric and trey played chess, and jen and rob and van and megan played Give Me The Brain, and I gave Trey a ride home around midnight, but ended up hanging out talking for another two hours, which was pretty cool.
but, I didn't get back here or to sleep until 3am. And by the time I got up, everyone was gone from here.
Now I am heading to campus in a bit for the lounge bbq, and then I dunno what after, we'll see.
