WE WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Google/Blogger seems to have died so I can't finish writing my Marinerds entry (god, I hope it didn't go away, that would SUCK, I want to remember this game forever and ever)
But the Nippon Ham Fighters just won the Pacific League playoffs, beating Kazumi Saitoh and the Softbank Hawks 1-0 in a crazy-ass walkoff single where Hichori Morimoto had no right running all the way home from second, but he did, and that's that.
And even better I finally got to WATCH the goddamn games over the net.
We are GOING to the JAPAN SERIES. Holy crap. Fighters-Dragons series. Jeff and I joked about the possibility a few weeks ago and now it's coming true.
I need to go to sleep for a few hours and go to work.
But for now.. man. I'm so happy I could cry. I wish I could fly to Japan and go to the games, but there's no way in hell that's happening. Still. I'm going to Sapporo next year, one way or the other.
And from now on if any idiots make fun of me for being a fan of the "Ham Fighters", all I'll reply is "THAT'S PACIFIC LEAGUE CHAMPION HAM FIGHTERS TO YOU, SIR".
