Japan Day 8
I'm sleepshifted to Japan time goddamnit.
Today we went to Hiroshima. The peace memorial is REALLY depressing. I guess it's neat too in some way, to see that building that was literally at the epicenter of the explosion, and the pictures of the city at the time, and I did learn a lot, but it was just really sad after a while and I made Carl go to Hiroshima Castle instead. Only problem is, I was sort of having heat exhaustion problems due to all the sun and heat and humidty and it sucked and I couldn't even climb up the castle, and no elevators. Bleh.
Afterwards we went to a Carp-Dragons game, which I just wrote about. We had to get our train back at 9:51, and ended up leaving the game at 9:15 in the ninth inning with the Dragons winning 7-6. I got back to the hotel, turned on the TV, and the Carp tied it up and came back to win 8-7 in the tenth arrrrrrrrrrgh!
I didn't get a picture of myself in my Phillies shirt with the Hiroshima Carp mascot, who looks like a big blue Philly Phanatic. Sigh.
I gotta get off the computer and go to sleep.
BTW, something to mention yet again -- I am NOT reading my friends list while I am here, so if you want me to know something, email me or comment here. I will NOT see your entry if you expect me to, until the 18th or 19th, if at all.
OH come to think of it, anyone with a Nikon D50 or D70 -- if I put my camera in manual mode and I can't make the exposure longer than 1/30 and it just says "bulb" when I try to, what on earth does that mean? It's REALLY annoying, I don't know if I broke something or if it's just on some weird setting because I pushed something by accident or whatever.
