long day, moving, etc
I'm about to zonk out so I'll sum up the day.
My brother called me at 9am, and he and my sister-in-law picked me up and we came here to Ballard. I showed them the new house and they talked to Zach and the puppies, and we walked to Market St and picked up some breakfasty food. Then they took off for Olympia and I worked on more packing and furniture disassembling.
Oren showed up around 2:30, and we went to get the Uhaul a little after 3. Got it back around 345. Katy and Eli came over to help move stuff, as did Zach. We did the first vanload with the big couch and mattresses and various boxes and lots of wooden shelves.
By the time we were done the first vanload and got back up to the old place, it was like 7pm and I was starved. Katy and Eli had left, and so Oren and Zach and I went to Romio's and ate dinner. Paul called me and he ended up coming over to help move stuff too, which was awesome of him. We did a second vanload with bookcases and the bed frame and such, and a stationwagon load of stuff too.
Then Oren helped me return the van and I came back here. It was like 11:30pm by then.
I've unpacked a few things and I did a Safeway run too, and I really need to sleep. Going to the Mariners game tomorrow, then doing more moving I'm sure -- there's still some boxes and some junk in the old place, and two CD towers we forgot to bring over. Oops.
