old t-shirts

Heh. I just came across a box with a few old t-shirts in it:

- Class of '88 from Comly Elementary
- Class of '90 from Baldi Middle School
- Washington High School gym shirt
- "ZWEBLO" t-shirt (from the comic Greg/Spinn drew in the Drexel Triangle, heh, [profile] dhpdesign, do you still have one?)
- REM Out of Time middle east tour joke shirt (with REM in Hebrew... I blame [profile] thistleshush)
- REM Reconstruction III tour shirt

I hate that I'm unable to get rid of old stuff sometimes, but I'm still going to hang on to these anyway for the t-shirt quilt I have to make someday.

Man. Zweblo. I have that and a Shpi-dahh! shirt too, though I can't seem to find my ;) shirt anymore... which is a shame, as a LOT of people remember me wearing that shirt back in the day. Whoosh.

I also went through and threw out a lot of old stuff in another box, and found a cache of old baseball tickets from Philly and Pittsburgh, including "TMR Day" at the Vet, August 10, 1993. I should see if I can find the picture of [personal profile] shandrew and Lohi and Hubie and Udo and all holding up a big painted sheet that said "PUT US ON TV AND THE PHILS WILL WIN". That *was* the year they made it to the World Series, after all... I wonder how the hell Jerry "TMR" Hsu's doing anyway... his sister Jen (aka Smoo) has been living in Seattle for the last few months now and I still haven't seen her, mostly because I think it'd be weird since the last time I saw her I think she was in sixth grade, and now she's like, 2-3 years out of graduating from Berkeley. How time flies.

I actually think my dad adopted the Zweblo shirt.

Did you graduate from elementary school in '88? What grade were you in?

I graduated that year too -- but it was high school.

Wow - I wore my ;) shirt so much, it finally disintegrated in the wash, as did my septa shirt. Good times.

Mark still has his Zweblo shirt.. :)It has been put aside for summer. I did purchase a ;) but somebody took it.. I found some GTG pictures.. but I don't know all who are in it.. I could enlarge and photocopy and mail to you and you can identify. There is a way to scan but I don't do it very well.

Still have my ;) shirt

I think it's in the basement in Philly, as I was running out of room in my closet for shirts that I don't wear anymore but still wanted to keep (I've decided that shirts are as good a thing to collect as momentos as any).

The question is whether it will ever be obviously old enough to be amusing again

That was the best baseball game.

I don't even remember who won.
