My last day of being 28
Birthdayage: I think I am planning Todai at 7pm Sunday night. Yeah, I know. There'll be a housewarming party slash belated birthday gathering at the Ballard house probably sometime towards the beginning of June, okay?
Today at work, I had a project that Rich had said to get done by the end of business Monday, and I thought that was reasonable. Jack helped me with it and we finished it at 4:45pm today. Go us.
I had food from Taco Del Mar for lunch for Cinco de Mayo, because the mariachi band playing in the building lobby made me decide I needed enchiladas. Or something.
After work, Oren came by, and he helped me carry some boxes of books to the car and into the new house. Zach is in town now, and I gave him a key to the house, and we played with the dogs, getting them used to the new place. They are cute. We went to Chinook's for dinner. It's literally 5 minutes from the house. 3 right turns. I took a trip home and back after dinner with more boxes, too, so all in all I moved/packed 7 new boxes to the house today, plus assorted stuff. I still have an intimidating amount of stuff though.
Carl, I think that damn 7-foot crossword puzzle you gave me will fit nicely on a hallway wall in the new place, though.
Today (Saturday) I am running a meeting of Baseball Book Club at 4pm at Elliott Bay. I'm pretty nervous about it. I hope it goes well.
