Bingo, Donkey, Vegas, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
Sometimes the stupidest things make me laugh. For example,
seattle is extremely stupid, but today someone had a post with the title "HOLY CRAP!!!" which read: "My car was hit by a fish as I was driving across the 520 today! One big wave and some wind and then smack.... not sure if it was a Salmon or not." My first thought was, "Don't they mean 'holy carp'?" and I opened the comments and sure enough, that was the first comment.
Um, anyway.
I haven't slept much this week, and it shows. Worse, I'm up this late yet again because I've been trying to finish laundry, pack for Vegas, do some stuff to my computer (McAfee decided to vomit on me, so I've been fixing some things), etc. I also went over to Megan and Josh's house to talk to Josh about baseball stuff. The good part is that Josh suggested a great first book for the Seattle Baseball Book Club -- "Out of Left Field", by Art Thiel. The bad part is, I'm just rushed as all heck.
I decided I'd bring my laptop with me on the trip to Vegas -- why not, the house supposedly has wi-fi and then I can finish writing some of the stuff I've started but not finished lately, if I have spare time. I'm also bringing my Apples to Apples cards because even though I'm not a big fan of it as a gamer's game, it's true that it is one of the few things you can easily play with ninety billion people. Plus I have blank cards, so we can make up cards, too.
So yeah, Vegas. I'm bussing to the airport tomorrow after work, meeting up with
tangerinpenguin, then getting on a plane to Vegas, he's renting a car, we're supposed to find
jacquilynne, then all go to the big house
captain_squid and co. are renting. And then I'm supposed to relax and have fun for three days. Or something. I wonder if I'll get to the big arcade with IIDX and stuff. Hopefully we'll get shows straightened out too, for those of us who don't want to see Tom Jones. Josh suggested that we find one of the folks staying at a real hotel, and go there and ask the desk staff to help us find tickets for a show.
Of course, Josh also suggested I go bet on baseball for him, so...
Anyway, I think I am packed. I will see some of you tomorrow night!
I'll be back in Seattle late Monday night. In theory I'll be updating my journal from Vegas anyway. So there.

Plus, you owe me a rematch at that Casino-like card game you taught me when I was in Minneapolis.
