All Catan games are the same, though some lack sheep

Wow. Snow. How weird.

We played games again as per Friday nights, Josh and Jarrett and Cory and I at the house of slack. Josh cooked dinner. We played one of the new Settlers variants, Elasund, the city, since we'd played Candamir before. It was okay. It took us like 3 hours to play. I did win the game, but it has the same feature as most Catan games -- if you manage to get ahead too early in the game, everyone dogpiles you and the game becomes incredibly frustrating and boring for the rest of it.

Sampson as a puppy has calmed down a lot. He didn't even try to bite me today, although he did pee on the living room rug. We've taken to calling him "Dumbass" and "Stupid" and stuff instead -- it'll be pretty funny if he eventually learns to answer when we say "Hey, c'mere, stupid!" though I'll feel sort of bad. He's pretty cute, even if he does act pretty dumb too sometimes.

Yawn. I really should sleep more and watch doramas less. But Oguri Shun is so addictive as an actor. I think he's becoming like my Japanese version of John Cusack or something. (I don't mean that he's actually like John Cusack, just that a couple years ago I went through a huge John Cusack phase where I felt like I just had to watch *everything* he was ever in. He's still one of my favoritest actors.) I was reading/translating an interview with Shun from back when he did ロボコン (another movie I wanna see -- Itoh Atsushi, Oguri Shun, and Tsukamoto Takashi as students entering Robocup? That's gotta be hilarious), and it's like "so, what do you want to do next?" and he's like "ever since I saw Chicago, I really want to make a musical. Even though I don't have confidence in my singing or dancing, I'd work hard to learn." and when asked about his internet use, he said "well, I bought an imac, but I mostly just do email on my cellphone and net at the office. I read baseball pages a lot. Hanshin's going to go all the way this year!" Another lefty who likes musicals and baseball. So cool. I'm such a dork.

Hey Deanna, two questions:

1. Whatever happened to Oliver the puppy? No news or cute pictures of him anymore. =(

2. Where are you finding the Japanese doramas? Do they come subbed? If so, I'd love to try them out. =)
