dr4b: (pop'n'music Sana)

Whoa, it's Friday already?

Today was a pretty bizarre one at work. I got there later than I wanted to, because I woke up this morning with some back pain from volleyball. But, it worked out okay because I also stayed much later than I wanted to. Jack and I worked through writing a Perl script we got asked to do at like 4:30, so we were there until 8pm. Quizno's really isn't as bad as I try to tell myself it is; it's the Philly sandwich snob in me and all.

I've mostly wasted the evening away. I played a ton of Pop'n'Music 7. I figured out that I'd unlock crazy-ass secret songs if I played in Challenge Mode, so I did. Got to play the teppan-yaki enka remix song I used to put the code in for on PNM5, only with real speed mods! It's a really fun song. Also nearly nearly passed Samurai Syndrome on Hyper. Dang, that would have been awesome - that song's always been too hard for me. Unlocked Sana Molette, too, whoosh, and played the Disco Typhoon song which is another "whoa, Sana!" song. The reason I had been playing 7 in the first place is that I've been trying to remember which Orange Lounge song it is that they play in the ending of PNM9. Well, it's the opening riff to Dimanche, at least. Whooosh!

Puzzle Pirates has released a poker parlor game, which doesn't interest me in the slightest. They also put out two new portrait backgrounds, though... I need to find someone to get portraits with me! The new backgrounds are for two people. Grr.

I've been working on my Mariners fanfest pictures more, too, but then my computer barfed after trying to run PP, Photoshop, and Trillian all at once. I think I need a new computer. I also need a more travel-friendly laptop, an SLR digital camera, and an REI suitcase backpack. Maybe I should go figure out my taxes and finish figuring out when I'm heading to Japan. I figured out an itinerary that works from July 29-August 16, but I'm not sure I'm leaving enough travel time between cities nor enough breathing space. Also, too many of my games involve Yomiuri or Seibu, so I have to do something about that.

Supposedly there's a hurricane hitting Seattle on Saturday, too. Hmm.

Dammit, why isn't anyone making plans for Golden Week? I have nine days lined up with precisely ZERO plans. :)

Because every Japan tourism book specifically says not to go during Golden Week. :)

And not without damned good reason. Which is why you should all come NOW.
