3. What board game have I wasted the most time of my life playing?
a) Tigris and Euphrates
b) Ricochet Robot
c) Settlers of Catan
d) Cosmic Encounter
e) Talisman
I guess "wasted" is a strong word to use here. I should have just said spent. Still, some people may remember when I was playing Settlers over 40 hours a week one semester... especially if you count all of the Catan games, including Stadt&Ritter, Starfarers, etc, it's my biggest timesink.

I went to Toronto in March with Eli, Austin in October with Carl, Kyoto as part of my Japan trip in June, and Provo with WhizBang when I first got hired last February, because our main office is there. I still haven't been to Seattle. I lament this often. I suck. I swear to come visit you guys out there sometime.
5. "There is no such thing as eating too much _______"
a) Risotto
b) Sushi
c) Ice Cream
d) Chicken Tikka Masala
e) Cucumber
Carl and Eli both insist my answer to this is ice cream because I complain about having eaten too much sushi, but I mean, when Charlie's friend Lara came to town and went out with us for sushi, she was like "Oh, you are the person who says 'you can never eat too much sushi', right?" which apparently Charlie had mentioned to her because of this incident involving me trying to get my friends offschedule so I could go with different groups each week for AYCE sushi... I am so bad. For the record, Ice Cream was worth 7 points - I love ice cream. I love CTM too and it is my favorite indian food, but I can't eat THAT much of it... and I hate cucumbers and don't understand risotto. So.
6. My secret superhero power is
a) Remembering people's names
b) Remembering people's faces
c) Remembering people's birthdays
d) Remembering people's phone numbers

Even though I somehow still think Jason's birthday is the 13th instead of the 14th... no, I just remember too many numbers and details about people. Don't show me your credit cards or social security cards.
7. Which organization at Carnegie Mellon did I NOT belong to?
a) KGB (random silliness)
b) Scotch'n'Soda (theater)
c) Ballroom Dance Club
d) The Tartan (newspaper)
e) The Kiltie Band
Well, you all know I'm in Kiltie, and many of you know I did ballroom, and of course KGB. What some of you don't know is that I was a stage manager for a Scotch'n'Soda Carnival show a few years back, when they did Assassins, which is my favorite Stephen Sondheim show ever. Carl knew this one, of course, because he was in the pit orchestra for it. :) I never joined the Tartan - I just always read it and whined that they needed better copy editors.

10. What's up?
a) Nothing much, you?
b) A preposition
c) The direction away from the sun
d) The ceiling
e) 上
Yes, e) is Japanese for "up". However, my usual response is "a preposition... and 'going on' is a dangling participle."
11. Who is my favorite author?
a) Margaret Weis
b) Robert Jordan
c) J.R.R.Tolkien
d) E.L.Konigsburg
e) Tom Holt
I've never read anything by Robert Jordan. I've only read LOTR by Tolkien, and while I liked it, he's not anywhere near my favorite author. E.L.Konigsburg is very cool (and an alum of CMU - MM'52 I think) but I've only actually read 2 or 3 of her books - I adored them as a teenager though, and recently picked up a whole bunch. Tom Holt is hilarious but again I've only read 2 of his books so far. Margaret Weis, on the other hand... anyone who's seen my book collection can tell you that I've read far too many Dragonlance books, as well as many of her other serieses, written alone, or with Tracy Hickman, or with her husband, or her son, etc... it's hard for me to pick a favorite author, actually, I guess, but she's way up there.
12. Which of these musical instruments have I never played?
a) Guitar
b) Clarinet
c) Baritone
d) Piano
e) Violin
See the answer to #14... being a lefty makes playing strings pretty difficult. I played Clarinet for a year and a half until the middle of fourth grade, when my dentist advised me to quit because my teeth were getting pushed out weird.
13. In choir in high school, what section did I sing in?
a) Soprano
b) Alto
c) Tenor
d) Bass
e) Off-key
Strange but true. I was actually an alto for the first month or two of ninth grade I suppose, but I sang tenor for the rest of my four years in high school choir. It's actually sad, because I enjoyed singing tenor so much that I'm apprehensive about joining a choir again because I doubt they'd let me sing tenor. Although singing along with the soprano solos for Vivaldi's Gloria has been sort of fun... and sends Eli running away pretty quickly.
14. I am
a) left-handed
b) right-handed
c) ambidextrous
15. What is the correct answer to "Are you a truck?"
a) Yes
b) No
If you don't get this part, look here. Oddly enough, wow, several of the original "Ask me if I'm a truck." conspirators are on my LJ... damn, that was a long time ago. Heh.
