But they're so fuzzy
You know, I'm finding it increasingly difficult to rationalize owning even the small amount of Hello Kitty merchandise I have, even though I must say I enjoy wearing my Hello Kitty earmuffs and gloves, carrying my messenger bag with two Hello Kitty plush keychains dangling from it, putting Hello Kitty stickers on my monitor and WordTank and all, and having Hello Kitty christmas lights in my office, and soon a Hello Kitty beaded curtain, as soon as I figure out where to put it up... and then there's the Hello Kitty purse and grab bag I got a while back that I still don't quite know what to do with. Hmm. That is a lot of stuff. Especially for someone who abhors the color pink.
But seriously, the Hello Kitty earmuffs are SO fuzzy! I usually hate earmuffs because they always make my ears itch, but these are all soft and furry-like, both on the outside and the inside. So they work really well.

And as an avid HK lover (I'm currently wearing a t-shirt adorned with her and Julius the monkey [Paul Frank] on a scooter), there is no such thing as too much Hello Kitty.

the earmuffs and gloves at the japanese mall in Boston,
the plush keychains at the sanrio store in NYC and the sanrio store in the subway station in Mito,
the grab bag purse and stickers at the sanrio store in NYC.
sadly there's not much HK stuff available around Pittsburgh, although I guess Target does have a decent amount (they also had HK mirrors and hairbrushes and the like, didn't they?)

dunno if you've tried any of these places. sanrio.com has a pretty extensive-- and frightening-- store locator. It puts up an imagemap that looks like the entire eastern US has been taken over by a pink tide of cute Japanese consumerism.
