Tuesday, last day in Pittsburgh
I didn't update last night because I basically came back here and fell asleep immediately.
I got up and went to campus and met up with
ketsugami, and we went out for lunch. He suggested a bunch of places, including the Church Brew Works, which I hadn't been to since my birthday party in 2002, so I was just like "dude!" and we went there and split pierogie pizza and I got birch beer and cinnamon ice cream and all the good CBW stuff. We had a long talk about Life, Liberty, and Bloomfield, and it was good. Django is cool, because we both can talk a ton about random fun things. That is all.
We walked back to campus, and I think my intention at that point was to stop by the University Shoppe, buy a new CMU sweatshirt jacket, and then go back to Carl's and pack up my bags before hunting down people to hang out with. The thing is, I was in Wean, and I felt silly trying to call back Benoit or Charlie if I was in Wean. So I went up to 8019 to find Benoit, except Kevin was there, and so instead I ended up hanging out with Kevin for a while, until Benoit showed up. Then wossname modular-forms-boy showed up, who had sent me an IM the night before but I didn't know who he was. So that was funny, and he hung out with us for a while, and then he left, and then a bit after that my brain started to break down, so Benoit and I walked over to Flagstaff and sat outside until the rain chased everyone off, including us. (I am glad it rained, since I had been so convinced it was going to.)
We walked up the golf course to Squirrel Hill, and I ended up hanging out at Benoit and Charlie's place for the rest of the evening. Charlie was actually there but asleep, and I called him and left a message telling him to come home, so he came out to the living room and called back my cellphone. I helped the two of them cook mushroom-leek-lemon-whatever risotto for dinner (as Charlie stole some of the veggies and said "I'm taking a leek!") and Carl came by in the meantime and we ended up playing Puerto Rico, and some cards, and then it was late and time to go home and all.
Umm, I guess in a few hours I will probly start calling around Seattle people begging for a ride home from the airport tonight. For now, I need to get packed and go over to campus to do some stuff, and then hit the 28x.
