Monday/Tuesday

Whee. Yesterday we actually went to quiz night! I got there just in time for happy hour. It was just Eli, Jarrett, Josh, Megan, and I. We were Leaders of the C Team. We didn't do particularly well, but I'm not sure I care. It was amusing when during the alphabet trivia, the Z question was "Who was the Washington Senators pitcher who gave up Babe Ruth's historic 60th home run in 1927?" And I'm sitting there racking my brain, and said something like "Maybe Z is the first name? Like Zachary?" So Megan puts it down, and sure enough... the answer was Tom Zachary. Go us. The other amusing one was the number question, where they said, "In America, the emergency number is 911. What is it in New Zealand?" Jarrett knew that it was 111 in Australia, so we got it, but later that evening when I got home and was talking to Weaver, he was like "Believe it or not, here in NZ, if you dial 911, you get a recording that says 'The emergency response number is 111, not 911. Please hang up and dial 111.'"

Anyway, it was good to do quiz again. Next Monday night there's a free in-store TMBG concert in Queen Anne that I'm going to go to.

And two weeks from now is the opening of Mariners baseball! Woooo! I finally watched the Season Ticket Holder DVD they sent me and this year's commercials (online). Wheeee. I don't have any tickets until the first Sunday after, April 10, but I'll probly go to one of the Twins games in the April 4-6 range. Dunno if anyone will be able to go (they look like afternoonish games. sigh).

A few weeks after that is Spring Carnival. I am currently looking into arriving on either Wednesday or Thursday of Carnival weekend and staying for a week. I wanna either go see the Cubs or the Cardinals while I'm there. I don't suppose any of my friends that like baseball and live in Pittsburgh (I'm mostly looking at [profile] genericman or [profile] bc3p here) would want to go to any of the games? I'm guessing it'll be easier for me to see the Cardinals since they're in town after the weekend, but eh.

Today was kind of a wash. I've been watching movies (Ghostbusters, and now There's No Business Like Show Business) and reading and stuff. I went grocery shopping. I have a brilliant idea for something to bake for D&D this week :)

I think I'm going to the Pillows/Noodles/whatever concert tomorrow night, despite having never heard their music. Should be interesting.

Whee.
