An apple a day
Despite the fact that I fully believe that I have an 18 Charisma in real life, I somehow can't convince myself to call the doctor's office and make an appointment.
Maybe this is actually my wishful thinking that I'll find someone else who can actually tell me what's wrong. I also wish they could somehow draw blood without me having to experience having blood drawn.

1) Have someone or something there to distract you. Make Eli stand in front of you and force you to count by powers of 2, or read a poem, or do a Hidden Pictures, or something that takes your mind off the actual procedure. It takes effort, but it makes it more bearable if I can not think about it.
2) Make sure you eat beforehand, or at least be not behind on meals, and preferably something balanced. This will reduce the chances of getting queasy. Also, down a cup of OJ sometime before. This will raise your blood sugar a little (also reducing queasiness) and will also help to make sure you are hydrated, which means your blood will flow better and the whole procedure will go faster and be less uncomfortable.

I have an appt next week, so I'll ask. I bet they'll still want to draw blood anyway...
