up early and late

It's been an odd day. I did get my prescription refilled this morning, and the pharmacist said honestly not to worry about stuff until I'm done taking all the antibiotics. I felt like total crap at work today, was coughing up phlegm into my trash can a ton, and yet nobody seemed to notice or care. I got some work done, and came home early again. Well, I stopped at Whole Foods first to eat a salad for dinner. (It's expensive, but less expensive than buying a salad in a restaurant, and I get to choose my salad ingredients myself. And if I buy the materials to make salad at home, it's more likely they will spoil before I get to eat them all) It's been scary driving though -- I haven't been taking my medicine on purpose because it said not to drive after taking it -- but instead I keep getting coughing fits while driving (I'm sure the cold air and/or dry heated air don't help) which is frightening because there's not much I can do except keep going in the car and drink water.

When I got home I logged into stuff for a bit and then just realized I felt like crap so I took a nap. My dad called at some point, but I barely remember it. I slept from around 9pm until 2am. Couldn't fall back asleep so I'm on the computer for a little. I'm going to go try to fall asleep again now. I'm kind of hoping there's snow today.

I started working on a 2004 review post. This year has been so weird.

I wish I wasn't sick so I could go seek out people to hang out with.

Ah well, back to sleep, in theory.

I am so direly hoping to get back there to watch baseball it isn't even funny. I'd ideally love to just start at Fukuoka and take a train up the entire country and go to every baseball stadium to see a game.

I was summing up last year and got to April and just got all sad because I want to go back. I wonder if I could find a job over there...

All I can say is, if I could, then anyone can. :) With all the IT skills you've got I would be very surprised if there wasn't something for you, especially in a gigalopolis like Tokyo...

well, i don'tknow what she is taking, but day time cold medicine (dayquill or the like) might help too. Also, i take cough medicine all the time and don't have trouble driving, but, well, i'm not that succeptible to drug effects. just ideas to go along with Katy's...

She's taking prescription cough syrup, though... not just the stuff you can walk into a store and buy. She mentioned that it had hydrocodone in it. Think that has the potential to make you drowsy (narcotic?) thus they put the "hey, don't drive or operate heavy machinery under the influence of this" label on it.
