I'm too tired to come up with a subject

thatenglishguy yet again to entertain me this evening, and he got me to watch a bunch of Family Guy. I think my only comment to that show is "Holy shit, this stuff is fucked up." I mean, I laugh, but at the same time I say "What the fuck?" about every 2 minutes. I seem to recall this being the case when Mark showed me a few episodes last summer.
It probably also didn't help seeing the Death Lives! episode a few days after Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey, also with Michael, so we were both still sort of commenting on it in the whole "Duuuuude! You like, totally melvinned Death!" sort of mindset.
Well, anyway.
The Mariners went and signed Richie Sexson to an amazingly overpriced contract today. I'm trying to think of it in a bright light, something to the effect of "Well, at least he's a nice large target at first base" instead of "I sure hope he doesn't spend the next four years sucking up salary and sitting out with an injury".
Or as I said on USSM:
Jason: "What’s wrong, Dave?"
Dave: "A great disturbance in the Force. It was like a million voices crying out in unison, then suddenly silenced."
Jason: "Oh."
Dave: "Or maybe that was just Derek. I hear we signed Richie Sexson for 4yr/50mil."

We signed a second guy today for like 5 years, 65 million dollars. Crazy stuff. Of course, the second guy, Adrian Beltre, was rated the fourth best player in the major leagues last year. Pretty exciting stuff.
