weekend and stuff

Farren had graciously offered to help me unlock tons of stuff in Pop'n'Music, so he came over today and we played PNM for about 6-7 hours straight, taking turns. Sadly, neither PNM 9 nor 8 were particularly obliging in letting us unlock stuff, and I think we got from 49 to 65% in PNM9 and I forget to what in PNM8. I didn't get either unlock I wanted (Cinema Hyper in 9, though dude, I got Swing, and Linus in 8, though hey, we got 3-2-1 Stars). We took a break to go over to Gordito's for dinner (it's always a win if you're feeling cheap and starving), then came back and we played some IIDX 8th on Ryan's leet arcade-style controller. I really suck at IIDX now, so my second game I played auto-scratch. I guess I'm just too far gone into Pop'n.

Now, the cool part is, that between me cleaning my bathroom and doing laundry last night since I came home early, and then I worked on cleaning the apartment today while it wasn't my turn on PNM... I have actually made some significant cleaning progress. I feel pretty good about that. It's still cluttered, I'm still ashamed of it, but at least if people came over they could actually like, sit on the couches, or hang out with me in my computer nook, or whatever. I did, however, finally put all my CDs away, and discovered that I really need to build another CD tower because my 4 towers are currently all packed to the gills.

I navved a pillage in PP tonight, and as promised I got [profile] tangerinpenguin, [profile] chirik, Weaver, Markozeta, and dragged [profile] pokeytax along later as well. It was super-awesome and super-fun, and this time I even braved the Ruby brigands and we did okay against them. Even picked up one KB, so I think most people came out of the adventure with around 8k. Not too bad. Wheeeee!

Yesterday, as I mentioned, there was games at Nykkel's. I ended up in a game of Manhattan with Nykkel and Phaedrus while Mwinzi, Rumi, Farren and DJ played Cosmic. After that a bunch of us went over to get food from the bento/teriyaki place down the street, and somehow ended up playing Bang after dinner. The second game was really frustrating because I was the only one who got eliminated pretty early that didn't have a Nintendo DS, so I was pretty bored, and after waiting around for a while the next game up was Fluxx, so I decided to just go home (I kind of had a headache anyway). It worked out well, because I got cleaning done in my apartment.

Not too bad a weekend really. Now I just need to figure out what city to be in for Christmas and New Year. I wish plane tickets weren't so ridiculous...
