I'm Janthina. I, uh, I shoot things.
The car came back all shiny yesterday. They washed it and did all this other random stuff to it. It's feeling like it's driving better, but that might just be the placebo affect of knowing it just got checked up. (I think they did rotate/inflate/etc the tires though and some other random things that might have actually caused a difference.)
I was bad yesterday and spent the evening playing PP and PNM instead of cleaning the apartment. I did at least go to Whole Foods for dinner and get a vitamin-filled Jamba Juice and some salads and stuff. On the other hand, I woke up today still with a sort of stuffy throat and an annoying headache (gonna see if caffeine takes care of that, though). I didn't really manage to unlock anything in PNM. I even rolled a 1-1-*1 one round, and gave up after that.
I also was bad in that I think I've really found my new hobby in PP -- battle navving. Rome helped me get a bunch of people together to go pillaging. I took people out on my nice bright red/yellow sloop called the Ultimate Carp, and we went halfway from Turtle to Jorvik and back. 5 fights, we won them all, all Imperial brigands -- a yellow sloop, a yellow cutter, an ORANGE WAR BRIG, a green cutter, and another yellow/green cutter. The weird one there, of course, is the orange war brig. I accidentally got hit twice early on but decided to stick with it, and the final shot score was me hitting them 16 times, them hitting me 3 times, which worked out to max damage there and 5 lines on our side. We won. I feel pretty good about that. Angie was my gunner and we went through 90 cannonballs in 5 fights. The upshot is... now I really, really, really wanna just gun and battle-nav. The bad part of that is that I think there are plenty of people out there who like doing both of those a lot, so I have to fight for the position. Still. Wheeee! I beat a war brig in a sloop! Wooo!
I came up with a bunch of McSloop name ideas, too.. but many were taken. Like the Big Mako and/or the Big Mackerel. Or the Quarter Flounder. I may try to get the Small Fry or Large Fry, since they'd be cheap - the Filet-O Fish would have been cute, but expensive. And I still have to go get the Hiroshima Carp, dammit!
I didn't update last night because, yet again, I just conked out at 1:30.
Chris Foy called me yesterday out of nowhere to ask if I wanted to play Titan. I was just like "Oh for the love of god NO. But you should call Nykkel." So apparently he called Nykkel, who of course knew EXACTLY what my response had been when asked and laughed appropriately. Hmm... I would like to hang out with Foy again and all, but I just don't want to play Titan. I also miss Casey and the videogame guys. Bleh.
