Here today, Chelmsford tomorrow
Today we should have gone to Chickpea (I forget how to spell it but it's a place near Holyoke) to get a new bulb for the enlarger so Eli could print more wedding pictures, and then go to the Holyoke mall to play DDR 5th mix (!!!!!!), but we had no idea if the camera store was even open so we scratched that idea. So we weren't sure what to do, when Josh convinced Grammy that she really wanted to come to Amherst and take us all to dinner and hang out for the night (since *all* of us kids are skipping town tomorrow (well, today, technically)), so she'd be there in an hour, so the dog took all of the gang except Eli's youngest brother for a walk. Six people and one dog at the local dump is sort of fun. Eli and I brought cameras and took random pictures of stuff and it was nice.
For the record, leftover too-spicy indian food reheated for lunch will still be too spicy.
We came back and did knitting and crosswords for a bit. Right before Grammy got here, my stomach started to feel yucky, and it went into full-fledged heartburn-like pain spasmy yuckiness like my affliction last month. It lasted around 45 minutes. Eli's dad is a doctor and he said that his instinct is that I have some gall bladder problems, considering the symptoms and how my sickness was last month. So I should get that looked into when I come back to Pittsburgh. I wish I didn't hate my doctor's office staff so much.
The stomachachy stuff ended right as everyone was leaving for dinner, so I went with them. We went to Amherst Chinese Foods again, this time with 8 people, and got a ton of food. It was good but I didn't feel like eating much. Neither did anyone else, or we ordered too much, because we probably took home around 4 full dishes of food... oh well.
More knitting and picture-showing and crosswords happened afterwards, along with laundry and the aforementioned DDR. Whee.
So, tomorrow around noon or 1pm we'll be off to Boston. For those of you in the Boston area (specifically in the suburb of Chelmsford, and you all know who you are), be forewarned that we'd like to try to get there around dinnertime and would love to go to that sushi place we always go to near Three Trolls with everyone for dinner, if that'll work out. I'm supposed to call
shoebox_bird when we have a reasonable ETA (ie, when we're dropping off Eli's youngest brother for his parties and stuff) and then come out there... I will have my cellphone with me, and I posted the phone number a few entries earlier if you didn't get it already. (It's friends-only; I don't feel like posting it again)
...and if there's anyone else in Boston who wants us to come visit you, let me know. I just don't know how much time we'll have for stuff. Sigh...
