I'm sorry, MLB announcers, but Uehara does not rhyme with "Dewey-whore-a". Nor is it pronounced "Uegara". At least they are admitting now that they realize they have absolutely no idea how to pronounce any of the names... And then with every single player they talk about "how long it is until they can leave Japan and come play in the real leagues".

Tonight I had D&D, after having a Perforce emergency and awful traffic on 520. We're having vague timing/attendance things to work out, mostly that since Mike now has a girlfriend and like three jobs he has a bunch of trouble finding free time, and couldn't make it tonight. Bleh. Well, we'll figure it out. We had a fun fight. The Tal Greyhawk group would appreciate it, as we got to fight not only 5 undead, but 5 drow vampires, two of which were driders. Ewwwww. "It's Cory the Vampire Slayer! Vampire Hunter Bling!"

Other than that, whee. I think I will go read a book until I fall asleep now. I had too much chocolate candy at D&D so I'm still a little twitchy.

Dude, you should have stayed up until 5 am! Ogasawara hit an opposite-field game-winning double off San Diego's Otsuka. Japan wins, 3-2, their third straight. I was imagining you going nuts over there.

The stupidest is that the MLB box score doesn't even mention Ogasawara, I had to go look it up in Japanese. But, yeah. That's pretty cool.

Site says 35k people went to the game at the Sapporo Dome, though. I wonder where they dug that number up from. I would have been sitting in the outfield with the oendan anyway, y'know :)
