Gimme a week and I'll talk about things besides Japanese baseball, honest
I guess I too will link to the thing about the 1337 CMU student on Jeopardy because that's kinda cool. (Yes, about 20 people on my friends list posted some variant on it.)
Last night I stayed at work until 11pm or so. I was supposed to go see that Huckabees movie with
crankyuser but I think we both forgot until 9pm or so. Just as well, since I was really grumpy. Am still grumpy. Bleh work.
I only stayed up until 2am because MLB decided not to put up a link to audio of the Nichi-Bei game. I was kinda pissed because I knew it was at the Sapporo Dome and I can't wait to go there next year, but I was even more pissed when I read the box score this morning and saw that Matsuzaka pitched and won a complete game, giving up 5 hits, no walks, and striking out 6. I would have LOVED to hear the announcers talking about that one...
This morning I got out the issue of ベースボール that I'd bought this summer to read up on the Japanese baseball Olympic team, and I noticed that the insert to the magazine actually had something in it, it wasn't just an ad for BBM baseball cards. Score! I got a Kazuhiro Kiyohara card and a Hisashi Iwakuma card, the funny part being that I'd actually opened the magazine to see if they had anything about Iwakuma. How cool.

My wife commented that when capacity is below half like that, they ought to just open the gates and let anyone in for free after, say, the 5th inning.
