too too toosday

I got a TV at work today. I guess that's what I get for working at a company that makes TV interactive box thingies. Unfortunately, the box works, but I can't actually use it with my computer due to a problem in the latest build, and that I have a test version of the box, blah blah so they're sending me one from California and maybe I can really do work on it Thursday. Oi such luck.

I came home briefly for OCL (we went 3-1 against Silver Dawn), then went out shopping. I went to Best Buy and bought some CDs (I need to get a copy of Doolittle. Badly. They didn't have it though.) and a firewall router. I know it won't solve all my problems but I should have done this a while ago. Then I went to Target and got supplies for D&D -- I got a whiteboard to write my spell lists on and an ugly orange journal book that I may turn into a spellbook when I have time. Whee.

Came home, spent some more time on PP. I actually logged out around 2 and I'm going to sleep now like a good girl.

I got a letter from the Mariners CEO (sent to all season ticket holders) saying "I'm sorry the Mariners suck. I promise we're doing something about it. Please give us money next year anyway?"

Hopefully Ichiro will break the single season hit record at a home game, that be worth the price of admission alone.

lol @ the mariners letter... though ichiro seems to be doing just fine (well, more than just fine) even with the team's crappiness :P

You laugh. Dave [White] got a short video tape a little ways back from the entirety of Pirates management, starting with the owner and ending with the manager. Basically it said "We're sorry we lost 100 games last year, please don't cancel your ticket plan."

It's not just sports; a friend with a season ticket to the (Pgh) Broadway series got an almost identical form letter after Casper the Friendly Ghost: The Musical a few years back.

One of my co-workers is a Pittsburgh Penguins season ticket holder. Last year, the Pens gave him about $500 in free stuff to beg him not to cancel his ticket plan.

Of course, there might not even be a hockey season this year, but that's a different story...
