RIP dr4b@andrew.cmu.edu 1993-2004

This entry is mostly a placeholder.
Just want to remind myself to get off my butt and write something about
- Turtle Blockade (Sunday)
- Party at Yan's house (Tuesday)

And to announce that well, dr4b@andrew.cmu.edu has gone away. I finally decided not to have it renewed... I did have it extended a little so I could try to get my mail and files off it, but that's it. No more...

I first got that email account when I came to PGSS at the start of the summer of 1993. It's served me well ever since. It'll be a little weird to know it's not there anymore, but eh... I'm not at CMU anymore enough to justify having it and I've pretty much been off zephyr for over a year now.

So, yeah. Please don't send mail there anymore. dr4b at hotmail will work just fine...

Why don't you use the alumni forwarding account? It relieves the need to have to tell ppl that your email address has changed every-so-often.

My andrew account just went away too. So sad. But I'm still hanging around campus, and doing Kiltie.

My first email address was at a university I never actually attended. :) It went away when they retired the machine, several years later.

Whoah; the same email for over 10 years? That's amazing!

wow - there must be some conservation of email addresses effect at work, cause ag5j is about to make a comeback due to my new staff position

dr4b is now in the history pile along with ft0f from a dark age long ago......

it's still geeky that we refer to ourselves by our user ids

Writing RIP <your name here> is always a good way to shock people into replying to your posts. :(
