Friday and Saturday, a pictorial
I saw a sunset. It was pretty.

I went to a baseball game. Spot the oddity in this Padres lineup:

Yes, yesterday all I really did was order a laptop and go walk around the lake.
Today, I woke up at 9am to drive down to Pier 30 to pick up Ryan and Carisa from where their Alaskan cruise docked at Seattle. After building confusion I got them around 10:45am and we went to the touristy pier part of Seattle. I took them to Pirate's Plunder. They liked it. So did I. Stopped at Ivar's for me to get food, and then we drove to Issaquah so they could see Illusionz, stopping at Subway for them to get food first. Whee.
I made them play In The Groove, and Pop'n, and stuff. We had fun hanging out. IZ is kinda nice when it's uncrowded, except that KBM is off and DM sucks and oi.
Came home, showered, changed, then Eli came by and we drove to Northgate and rode down to the Mariners game. It was a good game. As I said, the Mariners problem is that I don't go to enough games. Ron Villone pitched like shit and somehow avoided getting a loss. (They started him for some reason. He's a good pitcher but I don't think he's a starter. When he left in the 5th inning he had 42 balls and 42 strikes.) It was good that the Mariners finally scored some runs though. They even had two home runs on their side. And Dave Myers should be fired, or shot, or something. Worst 3rd base coach ever. He told Edgar to run home and Edgar got tagged out... also waved Dan Wilson to a triple, which he would have been more than safe on the double and got tagged out stretching it. Oi. Well, anyway, the Mariners won, which is what counts.
Came back, dunno what I'm doing really. Was going through pictures a little, as you can see. I need to reorganize my webpage...

For the other picture, okay, I do not keep up with any teams on a regular basis and certainly not the Padres... I'm assuming that isn't the regular position of the player in question?
And how'd Ichiro do? Any time there was a Mariners game on when I've been in Japan, that's what all the TVs in electronics stores are tuned to... very funny. You'd get crowds of people on the street stopping to watch when he was up at bat.

Yeah, that's Greenlake. It's about a mile from me.
Jeff Cirillo used to be the third baseman for the Seattle Mariners. We traded him to the Padres this year. He's a backup infielder for them. Well, in theory, anyway. They pinch-hit him for someone and then stuck him in as left fielder, which made a lot of people in the stands giggle.
Well, duh. The Japanese baseball shows are pretty funny that way actually -- they don't even report the scores of the American baseball games, they just report what the Japanese baseball players in America did in the games. And the articles are all weird to read (like "Ichiro hit a triple and a single during the game. Ichiro's friend and teammate Bret Boone hit two home runs, one of which scored Ichiro from first base.")
Now if only I could get broadcasts over here of Japanese baseball :( I miss my Fighters...
