I'm sad I didn't get any good shots of ducklings from my canoe trip. There were several mothers and trail of ducklings waddling about.

A friend of mine has just had this posted as a comment to their journal. It's very sad, but incredibly cute. For me, the cuteness just beats the sadness. Darwin would doubtless love it.

I prefer to think that's Photoshopped, though pretty well done. Look at the sourceless glow on the mother's belly, and the different shadows she casts.
