This post is not *really* about baseball

Roger Clemens is going to pitch for Houston next year. Whoa. I guess [profile] mdw will be pretty happy about that, although [personal profile] zaph will probably be pretty unhappy about that. (Note: suddenly the Cubs are going after Greg Maddux?) Steinbrenner also seems to be unhappy about that. Actually, my only thought is, of course... it'll be great to see Pettitte and Clemens having to *hit*. National League, yo!

Other short thoughts this morning:

1) It is really hard to write a parody of a rap song when you don't actually have a copy of said rap song.

2) Sometimes when your brain and your heart are arguing, it's best to just listen to your stomach.

3) I shoulda probably put an "either" option in that last poll, but I was heading to sleep and forgot.

Time to hit up [livejournal.com profile] mdw for some cheap tickets :D - I'd love to see Clemens pitch.

I'd be cool with going to the field for a game or two this summer with ya.

I can see why people would want to see Clemens hit in the NL, since he's notorious for brushbacks and has been accused of throwing at players, but Pettite doesn't have any sort of reputation like that, unless you want to just laugh at him for being a completely crappy hitter XD

Amazing how the world doesn't revolve around Steinbrenner.

It will come as a complete non-surprise that the New York sports rags are none-too-happy about this development. I believe the back page cover of the Post read, "What an Asstro!"

Wait...a) isn't Greg Maddux pretty old and b) wasn't he a Cub in the first place?
