First, they came for...

First, the game started taking up my free time.
But I did not speak up as I was still was doing other stuff with friends.
Then the game started taking up my sleep.
But I did not speak up as I still had caffeine.
Then the game's forum started taking up my attention at work.
But I did not speak up, as I was still getting enough work done.
Then the game came for me.
So I walked the plank.

And while I'm at it, I also have to remember to forward this one to the DDR-PP crossover, if they haven't seen it yet: In The Navy

I found myself playing today out of habit, not because I wanted to. It was annoying. I'm sure I'll be interested in playing again tomorrow or the next day, but it's obnoxious to find yourself in the middle of a pillage run that you're responsible for, and suddenly realize "Hey, I don't want to be in PP right now... oh well, too late, I'm partly responsible for this group of players. Gotta stick it out a little longer."

I logged out when we hit port and went and stomped on some arrows. I feel better now, but don't think I'll do anything of significance in PP tonight.

Heh - I hope it doesn't get to that point for me. I know I've been stressing a bit over organizing things, but I'm usually good at getting smacked in the head by [livejournal.com profile] gootmu when I do that. And it's more fun to pillage with him than without, so I'm somewhat limited. I'm so happy that I have crew I can leave the ship with if I need to go, and I know they'll take care of things. It's a happy thing.
