dr4b: (puzzle pirates 2)

Wow, it's November 7th. A very merry half-birthday to me.

The blah, the blah, the blah. Why does a bad evening on Puzzle Pirates make me feel bad? The brigands are still running away, and I engaged a player ship and got my booty kicked. Sadly, that embarrassing incident was watched by a newbie jobber who seemed cool and by Nykkel, so I'm feeling like a big retard over it. I did sail around solo and get several good fights, and had a jobber later and a crew member Edith, but eh. Overall it was just depressing. I shouldn't come out of PP being sad about it.

Before that, I had a pretty good evening, though. I bussed out to Illusionz in Issaquah and met up with Farren and we hung out and played DDR and In The Groove. I saw [personal profile] siliconrose and [profile] genedefect although I have no idea where they disappeared to halfway through the evening. Foy was there for a bit too, showing off his crazy hard steps for things. I found a bug in the game, too ([profile] kyleward, you listening?) the steps for Queen of Light, on Hard, are broken broken broken. Foy can tell you more. Oh, Nyk, I did play Hip Hop Jam on expert and tried to not hit mines, but failed miserably. From now on, due to my playing style, I'm calling that song Hip Hop Blam. ;)

I even saw Magic Mike and talked to him for a bit. That was wacky.

Thanks to [personal profile] shiguma I got another heavy SDG out of nowhere... Think Ya Better D, 231/6/0/0/0. Yeah, go me. And Farren even saw it, so I have a witness :) I also full-comboed 5.1.1 Double Heavy. Even better, I got 115 perfects and 51 greats on it. Talk about numerology. And November 20th is coming up! I'll have to figure out something for my 4th annual DDR Day :) Well, in celebration, I've discovered a new problem with my feet - before, I had the weak arches but my inserts went all the way through the shoe. Now I have the arch support but nothing in the front of the shoe... as a result, the pads of my feet hurt, but my heels/arches feel fine. Sigh. I guess maybe I'll need to go find new sneakers or something. Farren was a sweetheart and drove me home so I wouldn't end up on buses for over an hour and stuck downtown at night alone in the cold and all that stuff. I just feel bad 'cause he lives fairly far, and I'm like 40ish minutes out of his way. We spent most of the ride talking about puzzle pirates and stuff :)

This looks like a busy weekend. Seeing a friend from out of town tomorrow night (and getting fondue! Whee!), celebrating another friend's birthday on Saturday, and then hopefully bowling and slackgaming on Sunday. Leaves little time for Puzzle Pirates, which is good, given how fucking much it's sucked this week. I hope they get the bugs fixed soon.

It's my half birthday today. Yuck.

If anyone cares, Japan is kicking ass in the olympic baseball qualifiers :)

Good job on TYBD! We both need Heavy AAAs... soon. ;)

Not only are they kicking, they've kicked. They just beat Korea 2-0 to win the tourney undefeated. All hail our pitching, giving up only one run in three games. W000t.

Until he becomes a free agent sometime down the road, and... well, you know what happens next. :P

happy half birthday. :)

what version of DDR were you on when you did 5.1.1 double? i've played a couple of different versions of the steps... the first time i played the second version, it threw me off because i wasn't expecting it. (the second one has the 16th note run at the end).

i've discovered how much i love the crazy run at the end of Max 300 double. it's coooooool.

anyway. mendel's distracted right now.

The only arcade version of DDR that has 5.1.1 (to the extent of my knowledge) is DDR Extreme, so that's almost certainly what she was playing.
