quick lunch-break update
I didn't update last night because I wanted to go to sleep after playing PP, so I could get up today and stop by the EMP on my way to work and pick up a ticket to the sunday night They Might Be Giants concert, which I did. It's nice to pay 8 dollars less and not feed TicketMaster more fees. And I got to ride the monorail. Anyone else going to the TMBG show?
Last night we had D&D, and we're kind of in "side quest mode" as it were. My quote of the evening was probably, after "Do you have any useful spells you can cast?" I replied, "Well, I could go throw a tree in there and then cast Entangle... how's that sound?" We did a short city adventure which involved going to an orphanage only to find out that all the kids had become zombies, and so we killed them all. I guess it's Halloween-fitting.
Yesterday I found out that my dentist in Pittsburgh is no longer open on Fridays, so I can't make an appointment during my upcoming trip. Argh. I need to find a dentist out here.
The lack of inter-arch travel for me recently in Puzzle Pirates is really beginning to bug me; I'm getting sick of the same damned islands. Tonight I'll play while doing laundry, and hopefully catch up with Farren and go around some other islands.
Reading _The Boys of Summer_ really makes me want to quit this tech writing stuff and go be a baseball writer instead. Maybe I'll start a webpage and put up some English fan pages for my favorite Japanese baseball players, or something.
