yarrrrrrrrrrr!

man, I am so totally going to have to go to work on Sunday :)

there was a guy in the cafeteria at work today wearing a Nishikaze Taiko t-shirt. I recognized him; I saw him at the cherry blossom festival at the seattle center back in march or whenever that was. that's so weird that he works at Amazon. I really have to get better at just talking to people who look or seem interesting. there was a guy who came into our office looking for people, and I pointed him down the hallway, but first I said "hey, cool Megatokyo lanyard." yar.

Yan and Hemant and I went to dinner in Pioneer Square after work, to a little italian place called Luigi's Grotto. They thought there was a good happy hour there, but we were too late for it, so we had dinner. My dinner was fine, but they weren't happy with theirs (Hemant got something like BBQ lamb rubbed in coffee sauce or something?). I did drink a glass of wine, surprisingly without grimacing much. And Yan gave me a ride home, which was cool.

on Puzzle Pirates tonight, Spinn started officer training for me! WHEEEEE! First I went on a run with him and Alie and Yartle, and I led some battles and sailed around and whatnot, and so he was going to go do other stuff, but told me I could continue to take the ship out and do things. Ironically, since finally I could take out the ship myself... EVERYONE WAS BUSY! Carl was with some random crew, Nykkel was taking out his new ship (yay), Sean was off drinking, Cat was in a crew somewhere, Ryan was taking around jobbers, etc etc, so... I ended up going around with a few of my crew and a lot of random swabbies and jobbers for a bit. Eventually Nykkel and Thunderbird joined me on board. Nykkel stuck with me all the way back to Namath, but T-bird was being a big pain in the barnacle. Yar. Anyway... I had some good fights, and I made around 4k total through the course of the evening, and Spinn let me keep all the extra maps I got from brigands... yarrrrr, that was fun!
