I love it when the MLB sportswriters can get away with publishing articles that sound exactly like something I would write!
"Stranger things have happened. I mean, look at that election in California. But this Red Sox/Cubs thing could occur. It is now out there, not as a joke, not as a distant, remote concept, but as something that is just three victories each way from actually taking place. It could not end in a tie. The baseball could not go through both Bill Buckner and Leon Durham at the same time. Somebody would have to win and live with the consequences."

Red Sox/Cubs would be the best series ever. It would be so funny, a cosmic joke on the scale of... I don't know, something big. I would be very amused, at least.
