Good thing I apologized to the cows
So today we went to Philly Fevre up in Cap Hill for lunch... me, Guido, Ryan, Tina, Aaron, Colin, Matt-the-performance-guy, and we were joined by Jacob Gabrielson, who was surprised I would go there at all, since I think they are inferior to Philly's Best. Well.. you take what you can get. Philly's Best in Kent is apparently shut down, and Philly's Best in the Central District just had its owner shot and killed last week, so... yeah. Anyway, I had a mushroom pizza steak and it wasn't nearly as bad as I remembered the sandwiches there being. For good measure I bought Krimpets for a snack later.
All you other Philly people will cry at the injustice, but I paid $1.75 for my 3 Krimpets! AIIIEEE! :(
Not much else to say about work today. Drew (
agh) came by and picked me up after work - he came in and got to see the lovely 8th floor of Pac Med and our spectacular view of downtown Seattle, and then we went to Red Mill for dinner (thus my second apology of the day to the cows, as I had a great burger). We came back here; I showed him my Japan pictures, and he showed me his new camera, since he's in a photography class; and Eli showed up and they geeked about cameras and music for a bit, and then Drew and I watched Empire Records! Whee! And he agreed with me that it was very funny, and he laughed a lot at it, so that was good. I enjoyed watching it again. What I picked up on this time is that Debi Mazar (who played Jane) has a vague Philadelphian accent... there's this line where Mark's like "I'm gonna get water for Rex," and Debi's character says "Make sure it's bottled water," except it comes out like "Make shur it's bottled wudder." It just stands out to me. Like the other day at lunch when Aaron said "Blah blah code base needs fixed," and I'm like "WTF, you still speak Pittsburghian" and he's like "Huh? I always spoke like that - they must do it in Illinois too." Hm.
After Drew left, I played Puzzle Pirates for bit. Hung out with Farren on board and talked to him for a while, and ordered a tricorne and a green skirt - and then caught up with Stiiv and hung out with him for a while. He let me be officer for a while so he could teach me some lessons about the economy of the game, so I got to see what the holds and the exchange things look like and everything - that was exciting! So we talked about games and trading optimizations for a while, and I got promoted to being a Pirate in my crew, which is cool! Yarrrr! Then I wandered around beating the crap out of NPP's in swordfighting until I got my standing up to Apprentice from Neophyte or whatever. 'Cause I want people to know I kick ass :)
Ok, time for sleep.
I took some cute screenshots of my character, I'll post them sometime soon - my new hat is mega-cute :)
