"What's a baby swan called?" "An ugly duckling?"

Work was pretty good today. We had crappy stuffed shells for lunch though, which kinda sucked. But, anyway, I'm getting a good feel for how stuff works in the stuff I'm working on right now. Yay. Lessee, I kept the Mariners game on in the background and we listened to the end of it in the car on the way to go get [profile] thatmathchick for quiz night. The Mariners won! Sounded like fun, although I wish I could be happier about the return of Jeff Cirillo... mostly I'm sad Bloomquist got injured. 2000th win though, cool. Go Franklin! Anyway, so we picked up Deb and we headed to quiz night at the George&Dragon, where the guy we not-so-affectionately refer to as "Dumbass" was calling questions.

We all had chicken and chips for dinner, pretty much, except Deb. And we actually got like 28 questions right out of 40... technically 27, but that's because (and I am NOT kidding), one of the questions was "How do you spell Cincinnati?" And the guy said the correct answer was CINCINATTI. ("And only 3 teams out of 30 got it right!") Dear fucking god, someone even brought over a newspaper with the correct spelling in a sports column and he said he didn't care, he didn't prepare the quiz, and the correct answer was the one he had. He had some other really stupid questions, too. But, so anyway, I did get my usual one or two glowing guesses, and it was good to see Megan after a week and all!

We came home and I decided I wanted to go play DDR, so I did. I went to Sunset. I played two sets. I did nothing notable score-wise, but really, I'm just trying to keep my stamina/etc up until I have time to devote to the game again. (I mean, I did things like FC Twilight Zone heavy and KCET heavy barely touching the bar, just using it to regain balance) The screen there has just gotten awful again; I was playing TMC as an extra stage and quit because I couldn't see the arrows without Solo on. Anyway, it was kinda interesting, I had a lot of spectators. It's always kinda fun to feel like I'm actually good at it :)

I called Tanya tonight and talked to her for a while for the first time in ages, finally. That was cool. I wish I wasn't so telephobic.

I've been thinking recently about this, sort of kind of, and thinking that I'm (personally, I don't know about you) not so much telephobic as not wanting to talk to people on the phone.

I wish this were somewhat deeper, but it's really not. The whole "talking to people on the phone" thing just seems like this gimongous waste of time. Either I can be chatting with them online, which seems like even more of a waste of time except that I can effectively do other things simultaneously, or I can be hanging out with them in person, and having a greater flow of information.

Sorry to intrude upon your mental ramblings. I have one other piece of information:
