the more I bounce the more obnoxious I get
I drank caffeine tonight, consciously, for the first time in seven weeks. Only a cup of cherry coke, but I can feel it. See, I bought too much soda for the party, so I'm going to be stuck with a bunch of coke and all, so I might as well drink it. I was dumb, Eli was right.
The party itself went fine. I think we had around 15ish people total show up, so it was small enough that there was seating for everyone and small enough that the videogames were played evenly by people, but large enough that there were people to do various stuff and have fun. Carl brought and played his tarot-Icehouse game, and some people played bridge, and we did DDR and Para Para and Beatmania (making sure to play 20 November in both of the relevant games). I am left with plenty of leftover snacks, but that's not all too unsurprising. Hopefully during the week we can have some time where more people come over and help finish them off, or something. It was fun watching people learn the para para moves - maybe it'd be fun to just bring people over for more para paraing. I've only really learned Ale Japan, Boom Boom Fire, and Velfarre 2000, so Carolee could bring over her VCDs and we could have a fun time training as the Para Para All Nerds or something. I wish I had a second controller... maybe I'll put it on my wish list for Christmas or something.
I have gotten so bad at bridge that it's not even funny. Ugh. Hopefully people will be good and start playing with me again so I can get better at it.
Oh yeah. My Nintendo did see some action - we played Contra for a while. We also played Chu Chu Rocket on my Dreamcast. What a cool game! I really like it a lot. No Genesis action though. Oh well.
Anyway, so, you can have a party on a Tuesday night after all, although the Tuesday of Thanksgiving is not the best time. :)
