I played Tuesday by ear and it sounded pretty good

I just want to mention that today in baseball, it was a day of upsets - all of the last-place teams won, pretty much :) San Diego SMACKED DOWN the Braves (NL West bottom beats NL East top), the Mets beat San Francisco (NL East bottom beats NL West top), Milwaukee beat the Phillies (NL Central bottom beats NL Wildcard), Tampa Bay beat Baltimore (TB is AL east bottom), and well... Detroit beat Texas (AL Central bottom, infact ALL OF MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL BOTTOM, beats AL West bottom). Texas is excused for obvious reasons :)

And best of all, Freddy Garcia (the Mariners' pitching staff's bottom) beat Roy Halliday (tied for the most wins in the AL, Cy Young prospect). WOW GO FREDDY GO MARINERS. I can't wait to see Meche on Thursday.

Okay, so as for MY day, I went to work as usual. It was really cold in the office. Our plans for the evening kinda got out of whack, so I stayed later than planned, and then Eli and I went to Sushi Express :) I go there a lot, don't I... but it's soooooo good. Afterwards we hit Half Price Books and the Barnes&Noble at the university village (yes, I work at Amazon but I had a gift card for B&N), so I could get some Japan tour books. I picked up two tour books, yay, but not before spending a half hour in front of the baseball bookshelf reading through random stuff... so I also ended up buying Ty Cobb's autobiography, and a book about the Chicago Black Sox of 1919. I wanted a book about Lou Gehrig (and/or the 1925-1929 Yankees) but there wasn't one. Shrug.

We came home and watched Trainspotting. What a weird fuckin' movie.

Holy crap, in 3 weeks I can go eat at Curry House. CURRY HOUSE! I can't believe how much I'm looking forward to the food in Japan.
