IZ, the fun way

Today I went to work at the normal time, which is what I usually do on weekdays after all. My group ate lunch outside and it was nice. It's so fun.

I hear the Mariners lost, but it looked like Freddy was actually pitching a really relatively good game for him, he just didn't get run support. Sucks. Gonna be interesting with Nelson pitching against the Mariners in their series with the Yankees this weekend.

[profile] rkane and I bussed out to Illusionz, where we met up with [profile] daviticus for lots of guitar freaking and drummaniaing. Well, and I played a lot of PNM but it was skipping, and PPP for fun, and of course DDR, wherein I AA'ed Twilight Zone... I played a set with Tada, and a set with Sean, and then I played all the rest of my sets with Mark for the rest of the evening. Sad to say he did not AA Dam Dariram, but he got a lot closer than he used to, and it's cool seeing how much he's improved this summer, he can even pass songs on Extra Stage now :) Anyway, I saw many other random people at IZ tonight. I saw [personal profile] elphie but I didn't really talk to her much because I suck. I also saw Nicole Desrosiers, who [profile] ketsugami had actually told me to look out for, so that was odd... I went up to her like "HEY, I KNOW YOU" and she's like "oh yeah, you went to CMU right?" and I'm like yeah, and so we started talking about Vermillion and Otakon and DDR and all. I probably came off as a hyper annoying ddrfreak but hey, that's me. I also saw Derek Leung, who I knew from the SFFS... I had no idea he was even here this summer, and he's leaving this weekend. There were a bazillion Microsoft interns at IZ tonight for some reason.

Anyway, I really had a lot of fun at IZ tonight, it's good to be around lots of cool people. Afterwards Dave and Mark and I went back to Mark and Jon's apartment, where we ate Tombstone pizza and drank soda and watched episodes of the Family Guy, and talked until like 12:30am (sorry Dave!). I seem to have actually laughed my throat sore from the Family Guy episode with the chicken fight. I guess I keep saying this but I'm really going to miss Mark... it was really cool having an awesome CMU/DDR/gaming/etc friend at work and all. Kinda like when I worked with Carl, almost. Oh well. Anyway, I am home, and I have a lot of Cherry Coke, and I need to pack so I can go to California tomorrow, although I'm really just going to stuff some t-shirts in my backpack, I think, and call that packing. Yeah.

EDIT> I totally forgot, but Tada reminded me, of the sandwich board guy... when Mark and I were riding the bus and it got off I-90 to the Issaquah park'n'ride, we saw a guy standing by the side of the road wearing a big Illusionz sandwich board that said all this stuff like "SUPER SAVER WEEKDAY SPECIAL! COME TO ILLUSIONZ! LOTSA COOL GAMES!" and whatnot. We were kinda freaked out by it :)

It's okay I was probably in a kind of addled state anyway since I have been frazzled from moving.
