more fourth of july

Okay, so after that last entry we went to Adam and Rehana's place, where much monkeyball took place and where I got into two games of Citadels. Near the end of the second one everyone had gone shopping and then went to Zach's, so we all went there to hang out for the 4th. In typical CS lounge style there was a gigantic barbecue and many things were grilled of all varieties. The steak was really good. There was also copious Blenheim ginger ale to drink. Then there was much blowing up of stuff. I took several shots of people holding sparklers like magic wands, and a few movies of big sparkly explosive things. After a while some people got sick of it so we readjourned to A+R's place for more games. I braided Carl's hair and then another game of Citadels ensued. I, like Nick, really like the game a lot for some reason - it strikes me as being a very enjoyable yet somewhat low-key sort of game. Eventually more people ended up back there and there was more monkeyball and stuff. I won a game of Monkey Target and utterly lost a game of Monkey Racing wherein I got all dizzy and my stomach hurt and whatnot, so I took a short nap. Shortly after we came back to Brad's, where Brad and I sat around discussing Harry Potter and a ton of other stuff until like 2:30am because we're silly.

I wish I knew exactly what was going on tomorrow. I might head to San Antonio with [profile] atomx tomorrow morning/afternoon for a few hours to play IIDX 7th style :) Depends on which day everyone's doing BBQ... but I'm not really into the racing thing, and dude, Cheer Train and Let The Snow Paint Me are calling me. Hey, is SA any closer to Houston than Austin is?

Beware Cheer Train. If your scratch technique is lacking, it will bite you hard.

Let The Snow Paint Me you should have no problem with, though...

Houston's about... 4 hours away

San Antonio, Austin, and Houston form a triangle whose longest side is the SA-H segment. Austin and San Antonio are an hour and change apart; San Antonio and Houston are about 200 miles apart.

In short, no.
