Hi from Canadia

Hey! we got here okay :) It was a fairly uneventful drive... I got Amber and Ray at Kenmore, we hit the road, we got horribly lost once we got over the border but it's ok 'cause we called Fuj and he directed us to him and now I'm at I-gene's and we're staying up and talking! yay!

the border was kinda funny --
border guard: "hi! where are you going?"
me: "hi! we're going to vancouver"
"to do what?"
"visit a friend"
"where are you guys from?"
"seattle"
"how do you know each other?"
"*looks around* Well... uhh... videogames..."
"Oh, are you going to play videogames up here? Where's your equipment?"
"*looks at Ray's GBA*..."
"I see"
"Yeah, we'll probly hit some arcades."
"Whose car is this?"
"My fiance's..."
"Where's he?"
"At home, he had to work tomorrow."
"Do you have any gifts for people here?"
"Umm... no..."
"Well, have fun!"
"Ok..."

I only told one lie there :)
And we didn't even have to show our passports.

Oh Canadia

Only once did a Canadian border guy ask for my passport, and that is when I flew into Toronto last year for business. They almost didn't let me in because I didn't have NAFTA approved sales documentation.

Coming home from Nova Scotia they ran Andy and I through similar questions, but only when returning to the US. The last question was "Have you ever been in trouble with the law?" Do you think we would have said yes if we had? (Which we hadn't.)
