OMFG

1) Should I go to Otakon this year?
2) If I do, should I revamp my Capture The B34R costume to reflect this?

What a great picture. Fred is awesome! I need to sleep.

I don't know about Otakon--but if you can make a trip down to the bay area for Fanime I'll probably be there ;-)

Everyone should have a chibi killstick ... you can take that as a yes from me. :)

Yes and most definetly yes! =)
(as in, if push comes to shove, i think 2 takes precedence ;)

1) YESS!!! (Otakon wouldn't be the same without your m4d b34R p0WerZ!)

2) If you could make that, it would be perhaps the coolest thing evarrr!

Yes on all counts, if you can manage it. :)

It's nerf, or nothing.

Now you've got me wondering... I think that if the major pieces were vacuformed plastic, you could make the body light enough that it would be reasonable to contain a compressed air tank (fill it with a bike pump beforehand, or use CO2 cartridges), but I don't know how to regulate the pressure coming off of that to get it to fire nerf balls at a reasonable (not painful) velocity. Perhaps an auxillary 'fire' tank with a backpressure gauge that could automatically shut off the feed, but that's getting complicated....

And I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Otakon weapons policy didn't allow projectiles anyway. (quick check) no, it's not allowed. Feh.
