dr4b: (hello kitty)

Wednesday not at IZ again, shrug

I'll start this post off Michele-style.

Quote of the day:
<zahlman> halo kitty? Is that what you get when you stuff your cat into an xbox?
<deanna> no, that's schroedinger's kitty
<deanna> if you open the xbox, is the kitty Dead Or Alive?

My next thing is a question -- is there anyone going to CMU graduation this weekend who can get me a program from the SCS ceremony? (And the main one if possible?) Usually I'd just ask [profile] dvarin but I haven't caught him online lately. Of course, there's always the chance he'll still see this. :)

Then there's today. Work was actually pretty good, I guess - now that I've paid $20 for the MLB internet feed or whatever (yeah, I'm a tool), I can listen to the Mariners games in the background. This is good, it distracts me a LOT less than reloading the Mariners webpage to find out the scores. I felt really productive today - I got my linux desktop working again (I ended up deciding to just nuke it and reinstall), and I wrote some pages with some really good examples, and stuff. I feel kinda good about the way this project is shaping up, even if I've been slow on it.

At one point today at work they put a whiteboard in my cube and I swear I didn't notice until like an hour later. I turned around and it was like "WTF! There's a whiteboard here! Dude!" So I went downstairs to steal my whiteboard markers from my old office, but I forgot to go steal an eraser. Whoops. Anyway, I am thinking I should decorate my cube - I never really bothered much with decorating my office because Shawn had so much stuff in there, but my cube feels so... blah, compared to everyone else's. Of course, it feels like every time I bother decorating my workspace, I end up getting laid off shortly after. So maybe I won't bother. We'll see.

I love the internet. I had a major craving for a Subway sub today, so I looked up the locations of all the Subways in Seattle, looked at the bus timetables, etc, all on the web, and devised a plan that got me 12 minutes at 3rd and Union to get a sub. So I did. I got a footlong tuna sub. While I was in Subway, "Welcome to Paradise" by Green Day was playing on the radio. I was sitting there humming along with it and all I could think of was the version by the Stanford marching band. I'm not actually even sure I still own a copy of Kerplunk. Heh. Anyway, I took the sandwich home on the bus, and I ate it when I got here, and it was REALLY GOOD. It's funny how when I ate at Subway every day on Craig Street, I was always like "BLAH SUBWAY SUCKS", now I'm craving it, because there isn't really one that close to work.

So, tonight I planned to work late and then go to Kenmore with that [profile] crackoon guy, and maybe a few other people. I got home around 8:20, ate my sub, and James was still not awake at 9... I tried calling him a bit later... eventually I gave up and just went to Kenmore, dropping by the Safeco pickup first on the offchance he'd gone there anyway. Well, he wasn't. (Turns out he TOTALLY overslept in a nap.) But, for the record - if I'm efficient, it takes 8 mins for me to get there. And 18 mins to Kenmore from there. It's also 18 minutes to get to Kenmore or back from home. Whee. Uh, so anyway, I was there all alone for 2 hours, which was kinda good because I played a TON of DDR. My goal for the evening was to FC "i feel..." which I did, 3 times, though I didn't get it down to an AA. Sadly, every time I played it I was doing this thing where I'd play it on 2x and hold the bar with only my right arm. And now my right arm kinda hurts. I tried to use both arms on the bar during LSV as an extra stage, but it honestly just hurt and I had to give up. Shrug. I did some more crazy mods tonight, and worked on some songs. Though I probly would have pushed myself a lot more if someone else had been there. I don't know.

Drove home around midnight. I should sleep soon. Whee.

I'll be at gradutation - I'll pick up the program for ya, and anything else you want. note : if you ask me to "aquire" certain people for you, I'll need 100 dollars per person you ask for, and you need to promise not to ask how I'll be getting them

Well, the subway on craig actually does seem to prepare worse-than-average-Subway sandwiches as far as I've noticed.

There's a subway a block from where I live. Very nice. Staffed entirely it seems by Chinese immigrants.

So has it been decided that we're no longer playing at Illusionz anymore? Understandable - their machines have been having problems for far too long. But still... I miss you guys.
