tuesday before carnival and i'm frantic of course
Today I went to work and then I went home and then I went to Megan and Josh's house. We were supposed to RPG but Megan and Heidi had book group so we didn't. Instead, Justin and Josh and Cory and I ordered pizza and played board games all night.
First we played Puerto Rico, which I haven't played since November. It was fun, but I need to learn how to play it well. Josh and Justin tied for the win with 26 points, and I had 23. Hm. Then we got out Starfarers, which was really wacky and skewed thanks to numbers. Josh and I both totally outfitted our ships with tons of crap (he had 11 mods at the end when he won, I had 14). It was pretty damned close, but we KEPT ROLLING 5's. Grumble.
Went home, and finished doing my Sakuracon 2003 pictures. For now you can find them at http://www.dr4b.org/pictures/sakuracon2003/ but I just nuked my entire picture archive aside from them. I wish people would respect my requests to not post and link and steal my pictures. I'm gonna figure out some good way to password protect them shortly...
Umm... as for where we're staying during Carnival, I gotta talk to people again tomorrow. I've done SUCH a bad job planning this trip because of how busy I've been with crap lately.

I love Starfarers. The encounters are just so silly and cool, and the unknown planet numbers change enough for me.. I mean, sure, you know that 5/7 red planets are bad, the good ones are 10's, etc, but somehow I think it still stays plenty of fun. And I like beefing up my ship with guns and boosters and running people down, even when I don't win. (I usually do well enough at the game to enjoy it though.)
