Friday Fiver

1. How many houses/apartments have you lived in throughout your life?

Wowie. Um. *counts* I count 19 if you count dorms. (I moved like 10+ times in college)

2. Which was your favorite and why?

In retrospect, the spring of my sophomore year (VOH) was the best probly. I lived in a house with a bunch of other big computer nerds, many game consoles, a mini-vax, etc. Fun times. I guess I also liked living in the Shady House before things turned nasty. It was cool living in the place that everyone came to visit.

3. Do you find moving house more exciting or stressful? Why?

Both, probably more stressful though.

4. What's more important, location or price?

Both... I try to go for a balance of both.

5. What features does your dream house have (pool, spa bath, big yard, etc.)?

Big basement with tons of arcade game machines in it, pinball machines (MEDIEVAL MADNESS!), huge entertainment center with lots of videogame consoles, tons of huge comfortable couches, big-screen TV, surround-sound system, karaoke machine, etc. Gaming room for board games and roleplaying games and all, with a ton of shelves like Josh's so I can put lots of games there. Upstairs there would be enough rooms for things like a computer room or two, a crafts/sewing/reading room, etc. In the backyard there would be a pool, and a hot tub, and a trampoline, and a volleyball court. And the house would have secret passages!

Oh, and I guess it should have somewhere to sleep, eat, shower, etc too, while I'm at it, but hey, all houses have that. :)

Richard Garriott - you know, "Lord British" from the Ultima series he wrote - supposedly really did live in a house with secret passages. Very cool article about his 1988 housewarming. *jealous*

On a flight I once took, I saw an advert for a trampoline that lived within a swimming pool. It sounded extremely cool if you had a sufficiently large pool.

Your dream house sounds suspiciously like mine...

There is one aspect about the dream house of every gamer that is the same. A basement full of arcade machines and consoles. I want that to, but neglected to mention it in my post. *giggle*

Yeah, sorry about my part in that.
