Friday Fiiiiiiiiiive
I'm all tired because I stayed up until 3am doing logic puzzles in the DDR chat with GPF Lith and
keevon and
zqfmbg and all. I love that stuff. And that Keevon guy is such a smart cookie :)
Oh yeah, I came up with more calculus stuff for
drj36 like RIGHT before I fell asleep, so next time we're in the same place I'm going to draw some pictures for him. Really. Geometric inductive proofs are fun :)
And, for one last shout-out - I am SO PROUD OF MY FELLOW KGB MEMBERS. LONG LIVE THE REVOLUTION! (But where was the "Pay no attention to theman woman holding who stole this sign" sign?)
Oh, from Fred via
jameel, this shit is hilarious: "hey d00dz putting together RvR raid on Iraq" (almost as funny as the PvP LOTR thing)
Friday five:
1. If you had the chance to meet someone you've never met, from the past or present, who would it be?
This is a tough one. I would love to get to dance with Gene Kelly, or to play bridge with Helen Sobel or Charles Goren. I suppose I would also have liked to talk to Richard Feynman and hear his stories.
2. If you had to live in a different century, past or future, which would it be?
While I would love to see what the past looked like, particularly medieval Europe and the early Tokugawa period in Japan, given that I would probably only live to be 20-30 years old in those times and be already dead, I would rather live in the future. Plus I've read too many science-fiction books, and they all assume that nobody ever dies of old age in the future. :)
3. If you had to move anywhere else on Earth, where would it be?
Japan! (Duh.)
4. If you had to be a fictional character, who would it be?
Andrew Jackson Libby, from Heinlein's future histories. (And I'm ignoring what happened to him after he died.)
5. If you had to live with having someone else's face as your own for the rest of your life, whose would it be?
Despite how much I don't like my face, I'm not sure I can imagine looking like anyone else. But I kind of wish I had a nice face structure like
mh75 or
georgejas or
skamille.
